Introduction
The Electronic Engineering Majors program cultivates the talented engineers equipped with the practical capability, the expertise and a formal engineering certification required for the development of domestic and international IT industries as well as for the contributions to the growth of strategic industry in the region. To achieve the educational goals, the Majors curriculum manages instructional classes, study performance and various procedures and systems to assure the continuous improvement of the engineering education program. Electronic engineering is based on other technological subjects such as communication, computer and semi-conductor technology and as such plays an important role in the development of national growth industry-targeted regional strategic projects and exerts profound impacts on other industries. In particular, the majors program nurtures baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degree holders with on-the-job adaptability, providing the superior personnel wanted in the industrial sector. To enhance the majors’ competitiveness the curriculum has been strengthened with industry’s tailor-made engineering education tracks (for Jeju Semiconductors and Jungbu Electric Power Station), government-funded university support projects (CK-1, BK21+, LINC+, and Engineering Education Center program), scholarship support, domestic and overseas exchange internships, and through improving the educational environment.
