Introduction
The Elementary Ethics Education Majors students are educated in the comprehensive and systematic way of recognizing the human and societal phenomena through the broad perspectives of philosophy, ethics, political science, psychology, Korean history, and related humanities subjects. The majors program aims at cultivating the talented teachers equipped with the knowledge of ethics and morality, while sharing the belief in democratic values willing and playing contributing roles as citizens in the development of democratic community.
Aims
The majors program aims at nurturing the talented teaching professionals with specialized expertise and broad understanding of the elementary school children and their educational curricula. In particular, they are educated capable of ethical contemplation and critical consideration of moral education in theory and practice.
Careers
Graduates of the majors program earn their teaching licenses as 2nd degree elementary school teachers. They may also opt for further specialized studies at graduate schools.

1946.07: Opened Jeju Interim Elementary School Teachers Training Center (3 month program)
1946.11. Upgraded to 1 year program
1951.11. Upgraded to 3 year program
1953.04. Established Jeju School of Education
1962.02. Established and merged with Jeju Junior College Auxiliary Department of Education
1968.10. Upgraded to Jeju Teachers College
1984.03. Upgraded to Jeju Teachers College (4 year program), (Specialized Children Education Majors and Specialized Elementary Education Majors)
1990. Established Jeju Teachers College (Specialized Ethics Education Majors)
2008. Merged as Jeju National University Teachers College, and established Elementary Ethics Education Majors, Department of Elementary Education
