Introduction
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology approved the establishment of a Law School at Jeju National University on August 29, 2008, and the school admitted its first law class of 40 students on March 1, 2009. Through comprehensive and specialized law eduction, Jeju Law School aims to train lawyers and other legal professionals to meet the judicial needs of private sector citizenly and public institutions. Jeju Special Self-Governing Province being designated as an International Free City and as a World Peace Island, the law school will focus its legal studies and research on international laws relevant to international relations, peace, business and trade.
Under the banner of "Small but Globally Competitive Law School" and innovative educational curricula, the law school strives for a center of excellence in legal education and judicial professionals training for the region, the nation and the world.
Specific goals include:
1) Achieve greater than 90% success rate among the graduates in passing the state/provincial bar examinations,
2) Achieve a top 10 law school rating within 5 years, and
3) Grow into an internationally recognized law school within 15 years
To become a law school of international repute and prestige, we initiated high priority efforts to recruit quality faculty and competent students to Jeju Law School by offering them the infrastructures conducive to creative research, superior educational environments and innovative teaching. Also, we make every effort to encourage our students to specialize in international investment and trade, comparative law, regional law, peace and human rights.

Educational Goals
Law School aims to nurture competent legal professionals to meet the needs of people and to provide the legal expertise in judicial affairs relevant to Free International City’ and its globalization initiatives.
Post-graduation Professional Career
Passing the national/regional bar examinations, a Law School graduate will be able to seek a legal career with a public institution, social organization or private sector corporation. The graduates can also be certified as an International Lawyer after taking appropriate postgraduate courses. They may opt to do research in law and teach laws based on legal practices.
