Introduction
The Marine Life Science Majors program makes contributions to the food supply for people through efficient scientific management of the marine resources. To help achieve the goals, the majors curriculum offers courses in marine farming environment, piscicultural feeds, pisciculture biology, invertebrate animal pisciculture, fish genetics and breeding, embryology, reproductive biology, fish farming feed, marine ecology, cell molecular immunology, immunology and reproductive biology. Graduates of the majors curriculum earn the qualifying certificates of teaching license.
Aims
The marine life science majors program aims at fostering the scientific expertise in marine organisms through theoretical and practical studies of the comprehensive and efficient production and the utility of marine resources.

-1995.10.04. Established the Faculty of Marine Products (Maritime Products System Majors and Aquaculture Majors)
-1999.10.14. Merged to form the Faculties (Marine Products, Maritime Industry and Earth Environmental Systems), one department (Department of Oceanography) with the Faculty of Ocean Science (Marine Products Majors, Maritime Industry Majors, and Civil Environmental Engineering Majors)
-2009.03.01. Merged into one Faculty (Marine Biomedical Science with Marine Life Science and Marine Biomedical Science Majors; Marine Biomedical Science with Marine Life Science Majors) and 5 Departments (Maritime Industrial Engineering, Earth and Ocean Science, Environmental engineering, Civil Engineering, Maritime System Engineering)
