Registration as a Researcher

  • International students who have not earned a Master's or Doctoral degree within their course period can register themselves as a researcher until they finish their thesis and earn a degree. As a researcher, they can use the university facilities and have the same status and rights as full-time students

  • Foreign Language Institute
  • There are educational materials such as DVDs, audio and videotapes, and the sound library is equipped with video screens and audio systems at each seat so that students can improve language proficiency through listening and speaking practice. The Sound Library's opening hours are 09:00 to 18:00.
  • The Information & Telecommunications Center provides students with many web services. Information can be found by logging onto www.Jejunu.ac.kr. The Center enables laptop owners to access the Internet on campus using a wireless connection. (Find out more at http://wifi.jejunu.ac.kr) Jeju students also have easy internet access at the Information & Telecommunications Center, the University Service Center, the Career Center and the libraries, among other places.

  • There are 70 student clubs, run by the students themselves:
  • Creative: art, calligraphy, photography, comics
  • Performance Arts: theater, singing, mask dancing, percussion, guitar, dancing, magic, ocarina
  • Sports: tennis, skydiving, scuba diving, Kendo, bowling, table tennis, Taekwondo, Taekkyon (Korean martial arts), basketball, mountaineering, in-line skating
  • Community Oriented: teaching, volunteering
  • Academic: Jeju Studies, Studies on the Disabled, English, computers, tea ceremony, ham radio, bonsai
  • Religious: Buddhism, Catholicism, Christianity
  • International Students' Association: international students lead various activities including learning about Korean culture and participating in cultural exchanges

 

Special Occasions for International Students

Special occasions include orientation, the students' festival, the year-end festival of international students, and Jeju cultural programs.

 

Working Opportunities International students who hold D-2 visas are eligible to work up to 20 hours per week(undergraduate), 30 hours per week(graduate school) in areas which are related to their majors or are otherwise approved by the Immigration Office.
