Goals of Education

  • Providing opportunities for Confucian education to local Confucians and residents in Jeju to establish a social focal point in the rapidly changing contemporary situation.
  • Fostering leaders with autonomous and rational thinking in order to restore collapsing social ethics and trust, and create a society filled with love and kindness.

 

Application Information

  • Application Period: February 3, 2023 (Friday) to March 3, 2023 (Friday) (excluding Saturdays and Sundays)
  • Target Audience: Jeju residents, Those who are interested in Confucianism
  • Number of Recruits: 50
  • Tuition Fee: 200,000 KRW for one year
  • Required Documents: 1 copy of the application form (in the designated format), two 3X4 photos
  • How to Apply: Submit in person or by fax or mail to the Lifelong Education Center and the Foundation of Jejuhyanggyo Confucian School
  • Place for Application: Foundation of Jejuhyanggyo Confucian School office, Lifelong Education Center office in Jeju National University

 

Program Details

  • Course Term: March 10, 2023 to December 1, 2023 (once a week, every Friday from 14:00 to 16:00)
  • Place of Education: 3F lecture hall of the Jeju Confucian Culture Center (35 Gwangyang 2-gil, Jeju-si (Ido 1 dong))

The sages of Confucianism and their benetifs: Confucian studies and classics
Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism: The ideal human character presented in the Confucian Analects
Basic ethics learned from Confucianism: The philosophy of Mencius
Confucian shrines and the Confucian rituals: Cultural heritage visits
