Introduction
The Department of Public Administration aims at cultivating outstanding individuals who are able to speak for the people in responding to the changing world and to the government policy making through nurturing of rational and practical leadership and managerial skills.
The departmental curriculum provides the scientific and future-oriented courses for the majors not only to strengthen the theoretical expertise, but also to build the practical, analytical, critical, and reform abilities working for the people of society.
For the stated goals of the department, the majors curriculum encompasses such diverse subjects as personnel appointment, finance, organizational management, and regional governance and administration, in addition to the administrative and constitutional laws, information system, investigative methods, and data analysis. In summary, we foster ① creative, rational and proactive individuals fit for the 21st century, ② researchers and educators capable of implementing public administration and political science programs, ③ strong common prosperity of the tripartite community of faculty, alumni and students, and ④ the talented individuals who lead the regional society through voluntary services.
Aims
The Public Administration science is concerned with the theoretical and practical public administration subjects for the 21st century, planning the sustainable development of regional governance and its relationship with the central government on the basis of diverse expertises in scientific analysis, critique, evaluation and reform of the real public administrative phenomena.

- Governmental organizations: Central government and administrative organizations, regional government offices, national assembly offices, courts and attorney generals office, election management committees, police agencies, education boards, tax firms, etc
- Public corporations: Korean Electric Power Corporation, the Agriculture and Fishery Development Corporation, Water Resources Corporation, Korea Telecommunication Authority, etc
- Industry sector: Small and medium size industries, major industries, foreign corporations, etc
- Financial organizations: Banks, insurance companies, agricultural and fishery cooperatives, Sae-ma-eul Bank, etc

History
