Introduction
The Architecture Majors program cultivates the talented architects meeting the international standards, and provides the following specific educational objectives:
- Offer internationally recognizable architectural education program
- Enhance the understanding of architecture in culture, arts, and environment
- Establish the interdisciplinary convergence education in terms of metropolis, landscaping, visual design, humanities, social sciences
- Strengthen the architectural design education
- Encourage participation of construction site specialists in architectural education program
- Provide on-site education through architectural field inspection of domestic and international edifices
Aims
To implement the architectural education program for the Architecture Majors, we offer the following three objectives to cultivate the creative architects for the development of Jeju's architectural culture:
First, provide the architectural education aimed at understanding the regional values (emphasizing region)
Second, offer the architectural education aimed at creative applications of the architectural technology (fostering creativity)
Third, present the architectural education aimed at playing a leadership role with responsiveness to the public and the society (nurturing social responsibility)
Careers
1. Employment
Architectural design, computer graphics, interior design, total design, construction supervision, and related businesses including architectural design firms, public construction corporations, research institutes, government services, and construction companies.
2. Future perspectives
Upon satisfying the requirements for the architecture majors curriculum, the graduates are eligible to take qualifying tests for the certified architects certificates. This eligibility program is available only to the Jeju National University graduates in Jeju Province. Those meeting the 5-year curricular requirements are able to immediately open the registered architects offices upon graduation.

1993: Established the Department of Architectural Engineering
2003: Restructured as the Faculty of Architecture [4-Year Architectural Engineering Majors and 5-Year Architectural Design Majors].
2009: Renamed as the Faculty of Architecture, Architecture Majors.
2012: Accredited for 5 year term: JNU Architecture Education Program
2016: Accredited for additional 3 years
