Introduction

The Department of Information Management cultivates the talented individuals capable of strengthening the industry’s business potentials based on the information management specialty derived from the disciplinary convergence between the management and the information technology. Through instructions in management theory, cutting-edge information technology, and generation of the fusion and innovative ideas, we strive for effective training of the creative IT convergence experts. Recognizing our education efforts, the department has been rated the most outstanding in the university’s superior academic program incentive evaluations for six years in a row (2011~2016).

Aims

The department provides the majors curriculum for cultivating the talented “convergence” type information management professionals equipped with managerial and digital minds to meet the needs of the future-oriented and information-driven society.

Careers

Our majors graduates are able to find their careers in a variety of fields to display their professional potentials in the application of information technology to its convergence industry. Their careers range？from？(1) IT consultants who are able to test the industry’s business capability and propose imaginative IT solutions？to？(2) business managers equipped with the expertise in big data processing/analysis and software development for large corporations and small-medium size companies . They are also well qualified to start-up the venture enterprises based on creative ideas they are apt to generate. One can also choose to go on to further study in graduate schools here at home or abroad for eventual professorial and/or research careers.
