Scholarship for Entrance Score Excellence <Common Criteria> - If an entrance score excellent scholarship recipient does not register, the next in line will not be selected as a replacement
- Grant will be suspended if the recipient takes a leave of absence within the first year of admission
- For current students, the grant will be suspended for one semester if the previous semester's GPA is below 3.1/4.3
A + Special(Overall Top Scholar) · Recipients: Highest scorer as of total score in the rolling admission and regular admission

※ The College of Multidisciplinary Studies Toward Future selects the highest scorer and the second highest scorer based on the combined results of rolling admission and regular admission

Academic Scholarship A, C <First-Year Students>
· Separate selection based on each recruitment unit for rolling and regular admissions (except the College of Multidisciplinary Studies Toward Future, which combines rolling and regular admissions)
· Selection based on excellent score (as of total score) upon admission

· Scholarship recipients are allotted to each college according to the number of current students
· Selection of students with grades of 2.7/4.3 or higher in the previous semester according to the selection criteria for each college (faculty, department, major)
National Merit Scholarship A · Recipients: Students eligible for education support according to 「Act On The Honorable Treatment Of And Support For Persons Of Distinguished Service To The State」, 「Act On The Honorable Treatment Of Persons Of Distinguished Service To Independence」, and 「Act On The Honorable Treatment Of Persons Of Distinguished Service To The May 18 Democratization Movement And Establishment Of Related Organization」

North Korean Defector Scholarship A · Students eligible for education support according to 「North Korean Defectors Protection And Settlement Support Act」

Athletic Scholarship <Common Criteria>
ㆍ The chief of the Sports Promotion Center recommends athletic scholarship recipients with relevant evidentiary documents, starting from the recommended semester.
- GPA of 1.8/4.3 or higher in the previous semester
ㆍ Excludes students who stop sports activities after admission
A, B <First-Year Students>
ㆍ First-year student as a student-athlete: available until the 2nd year
<Current Students>
ㆍ A- or B- rated grant is provided to current students as student-athletes who achieve the top 4 in national-level competitions during their enrollment period.
Excellence Scholarship in Academic, Art, and Sports Fields Common Crteria Based on the criteria below, the dean of the department(faculty) recommends students who have achieved awards in academic, art, or sports competitions, equipped with relevant evidentiary documents. The recommendation is based on the semester in which the award was achieved (starting from the award semester when recommending after the award semester, not applicable retroactively).
※ If an award is achieved during vacation, it can be applied to the relevant semester or the following semester.
- GPA of 2.7/4.3 or higher in the previous semester (GPA maintenance required for consecutive scholarships)
- International competitions require participation from at least 5 countries in each event or category
- National competitions require participation from at least 5 metropolitan cities or provinces, or participation from at least 10 universities in each event or category
- Group awards are recognized only for regular members (officially registered members on the semi-finals or above participant list) and only one grant of the corresponding rating is provided per awarded semester.
- Sports events are only hosted by an affiliated member of the Korea Sports & Olympic Committee, excluding a sport-for-all filed.
※ For competition results implemented until the 2022 Fall Semester, the previous guidelines are applied.
A - Provided up to 4 semesters for students ranking within the top 3 in international competitions during their enrollment period
- Provided up to 2 semesters for students ranking 1st in national competitions during their enrollment period
B · Provided up to 2 semesters for students ranking 2nd or 3rd in national competitions during their enrollment period
National Examination Pass Scholarship A Recipients: Those who passed the Open Competitive Examinations for Employment of Public Officials in Grade V (administration, technology), the Examination for the Selection of Foreign Service Officer Candidates, the Examination for the Selection of High-Level Administrative Officials in the Court, the Examination for the Selection of High-Level Administrative Officials in the National Assembly, CPA examination, and Patent Attorney examination
Grant period: 2 semesters for first-round passers, until graduation for final-round passers (within the course of study)
※ Grant is suspended for one semester if the previous semester's GPA is below 2.7/4.3.
Family Scholarship <Common Criteria>
- Recipients: Students with 2 or more family members currently enrolled at the Jeju National University
- Selection condition: Students with a GPA of 2.7/4.3 or higher
- Selection method: Selection through application each semester
B+E For families with 3 or more enrolled members, one B-rated and one E-rated recipient will be selected.
E For families with 2 enrolled members, one E-rated recipient will be selected.
Multicultural Family Scholarship <Common Criteria>
ㆍ Student with Korean citizenship born in a multicultural family consisting of a biological mother(father) who held foreign nationality before marriage and a biological father(mother) who holds Korean nationality before marriage
ㆍ Married immigrant according to Article 2, Clause 2 of the 「Multicultural Families Support Act」
ㆍ Provided from the application semester during the course of study
ㆍ Required documents: Family Relation Certificate, Alien Registration Certificate, and other evidentiary documents
B Students meeting common criteria with a GPA of 3.0/4.3 in the previous semester
C Students meeting common criteria with a GPA of 2.7/4.3 in the previous semester

Scholarship for Students with Disability <Common Criteria>
Disabled persons under the 「Act on Welfare of Persons with Disabilites」
A different scholarship is given on the severity of disability and GPA
Scholarships are given from the semester when a Disabled Person Certificate is submitted for the period required for completing the course of study

A Students with severe disabilities with a GPA of 1.4/4.3 or higher

Student Council Members Scholarship A, C 7 recipients of A-rated schloarship or 14 of C-rated scholarship are selected through the recommendation of the head of the Office of Affairs and Career Development among executive members of the Student Council, the Female Student Council, the Board of Representatives, and the Club Association
GPA of 2.7/4.3 or higher in the previous semester
D Selected by recommendation of the dean of the college (night course included)
GPA of 2.7/4.3 or higher in the previous semester, 2 recipients per college and semester
ROTC Scholarship A, C Selection by the chief officer of ROTC among ROTC cadets
- GPA of 2.7/4.3 or higher, within the top 30% of ROTC cadets
Future Hope Scholarship for Korean-Japanese A Selection by the head of the Admission Management among successful candidates who applied through the special screening for Korean nationals overseas and foreigners, and are children of Jeju natives living in Japan
- Grant Period: Regular semesters (during the course of study)
WISET A, C Selection by the head of the WISET Foundation among female students in the STEM field
- GPA of 2.7/4.3 or higher (not applicable to first-year students)
- 4 A-rated recipients or 8 C-rated recipients per semester
Welfare Scholarship (for low-income classes) (Graduate school) E Supporting 20% of the tuition
Provided to students with a GPA of 2.7/4.3 or higher in principle
Provided that the criteria grade may be adjusted within the budget range.
Applicants in the 8th income decile(section) or those facing other economic difficulties
Social Integration Scholarship F Undergraduate students in need of urgent or essential economic support, including young adults at independent living stages (formerly called out-of-home care leavers), and university students who are single adolescent parents
When submitting certificates, scholarship amount, period, conditions, and other matters will be determined with the approval of the President and the scholarship will be supported from the application semester for the period required for completing the course of study
Scholarship for International Students (Graduate School) <Common Criteria> Enrolled international students
A student who has completed the mandatory education program, such as Sexual Violence Preventive Education for Int’l Students and the Introduction of K-Law for Int’l Students given by the Office of International Affairs of Jeju National University in the previous semester. (This criterion is excluded in the first semester, but will be applied when selecting the scholarship recipients for the second semester of 2023.)
Financial guarantees are given only to the students designated by the professor of their department(or major) according to the 「Guidelines for Issuing and Staying of Foreign Students」 of the Ministry of Justice. (Financially guaranteed students by their professor will not be changed during the relevant semester)
※ For financially guaranteed international students by their professor, A-rated scholarship students will be selected by the existing guidelines until the first semester of 2023 and will maintain their qualification during the course of study.
※ To the extent of tuition, international students can receive multiple scholarships among C-, E-rated scholarships, and D-, E-rated academic scholarships.
A One first-year student who is financially guaranteed by his or her professor
C One student enrolled in two or more semesters who is financially guaranteed by his or her professor (during the course of study)
Students with a GPA of 3.7 (out of 4.3) or above in the previous semester
E First-year students who are not financially guaranteed by their professor in the relevant semester
Among enrolled students with a GPA of 3.3 (out of 4.3) or above in the previous semester and a valid transcript of TOPIK level 3 or higher (grade within the term of validity(2 years) as of the starting date of the relevant semester), the scholarship students are selected according to the preferential selection standard: the descending order of TOPIK grade → the descending order of GPA in the previous semester → the descending order of completed semester in number.
- Scholarship students are selected and confirmed within the financial resource in consideration of the status of scholarship execution in the relevant semester
Scholarship for Students with Disability (Graduate School) <Common Criteria>

Recommended by the dean of the general graduate school from among the executives of the alumni association - Executives with a GPA of 3.0/4.3 or higher
B, D One B-rated or two D-rated scholarship recipients among the executives of the General Graduate School Alumni Association
E 2 recipients among the executives of the General Graduate School Alumni Association
Scholarship for the Bachelor-Master Associate Degree (Graduate School) G Students selected for bachelor-master associate degree, among whom master's students who have passed the final admission
Working Student Scholarship Hourly wage Selection based on the working scholar selection plan (Student Welfare Division) for each semester
