Yi Chi-woo and Kim Ji-min from JNU's Department of Sports Science secured the first-ever medal for the JNU badminton team at the 106th National Sports Festival.

According to JNU, the two students demonstrated outstanding performance by earning bronze medals in the men's university individual doubles competition, which was held from September 30 to October 5.

This medal in the university individual doubles category is the first national sports medal since the JNU badminton team's founding, marking a significant achievement for both JNU and the team.

Yi expressed his sentiments, saying, "I believe this medal is the result of our best efforts in every moment. I want to continue to work harder to achieve even better results."

Kim added, "I was proud of myself for reaching the semifinals in this competition. However, I regret not being able to fully showcase my skills in the semifinals. I learned a great deal from this experience."
