JNU, President Kim Eel-hwan) was recently introduced in the American Community Colleges for International Education (CCIE) newsletter, highlighting its potential as a global hub for education.

CCIE is an international education network representing community colleges across the United States and plays a key role in fostering overseas exchanges and cooperation. In the latest newsletter, an article about JNU’s innovative Learncation program was published. The piece was based on the experiences of an international education officer from San Diego Miramar College who visited JNU in June 2025.

The article noted, “JNU provides international students with the opportunity to learn the Korean language and culture while experiencing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Jeju through Learncation (Learn + Vacation),” presenting the program as a strong model for short-term training and exchange initiatives.

A JNU representative stated, “We will continue to strengthen and expand the Learncation program, building global cooperation by leveraging Jeju’s unique educational and cultural resources.”
