JNU Faculty of Liberal Education joins road and traffic safety campaign for children

Jeju National University’s Faculty of Liberal Education participated in the Challenge Relay for the Road and Traffic Safety for Children.

South Korea’s Ministry of Public Safety and Security and Ministry of Education organized the campaign to raise public awareness of preventing road traffic accidents involving children and to create an atmosphere that prioritizes keeping children safe on the road.

According to the format of the campaign, each participant completes their mission by posting a photo of the campaign’s designated slogans on social media and announcing the next participant.

Challenged by the Jeju Youth Center, JNU’s Faculty of Liberal Education updated its social media account on Monday (March 29) with the photo of its staff members holding pickets representing the campaign’s designated slogans.

A university official explained that the two institutes, which have built a regional system for educational cooperation based on the agreement they concluded in February this year, made the first step towards the local community and public interests by consecutively joining the event.

Yang Chang-yong, head of the Faculty of Liberal Education, stated that the on-campus education agency will take the latest campaign as an opportunity to further facilitate its institutional efforts with other partners and related authorities on Jeju Island to make significant contributions to the local community development.
