Jeju International Development Cooperation Center’s new supporter group launched

Jeju National University’s Jeju International Development Cooperation Center (Jeju-IDCC) announced Tuesday (April 6) that it launched the 5th ODASAY, the group of its undergraduate supporters.

Late on Friday (April 2), the members of the Jeju-IDCC ODASAY (a term combining “official development assistance” and “say”) met in the university’s College of Social Sciences for the launching ceremony.

The 5th ODASAY consists of 12 undergraduate or graduate students who will engage in the three-month activities for official development assistance on Jeju Island.

The launching ceremony of the 5th ODASSAY featured the introduction of the Jeju-IDCC project for future ODA leaders and the briefing on what the previous team members achieved through the project.

Particularly, a specialist in making “card news” was invited to teach the new supporters about how to create promotional contents in the “card news” format.

A Jeju-IDCC official in charge of the supporters stated that the ODASAY will make concerted efforts to come up with creative ideas to publicize the significance of international development and cooperation amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Through the ODASAY capacity-building activities, the Jeju-IDCC expects to help the students secure a footing for career paths in the ODA field.
