Support project for businesses using western vegetables launched

Jeju Wellbeing Vegetable RIS, Jeju National University’s industrial support center, started receiving applications for marketing support from Jeju-based businesses.

According to the university’s institute, application will be open until May 14 to Jeju’s small and medium-sized enterprises specializing in western vegetables.

Companies using western vegetables grown on Jeju Island and looking for “star product” marketing opportunities are eligible to submit applications for the categories of “star product packages” and “star product marketing”.

Western vegetables refer to vegetables introduced from Europe and North America, such as cabbage, broccoli, red cabbage, cauliflower, kale, kohlrabi, celery, and Angelica keiskei. Jeju Wellbeing Vegetable RIS supports western vegetable processing companies on Jeju Island in their product renewal and marketing efforts so as to foster regional specialties to contribute to local economic vitalization through increased sales and job creation.
