Prof. Kim Sang-jae wins KSME Research Excellence Award in Reliability Engineering

Prof. Kim Sang-jae of mechatronics engineering received the Research Excellence Award in Reliability Engineering in the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers (KSME) Spring Conference, Jeju National University (JNU) announced Tuesday (May 4).
The KSME selects the winner of the award every year who contributed to technological development through excellent achievement in the area of reliability engineering and experimental dynamics.
Recently, a group of JNU researchers led by the professor had their independent findings been published 45 times in journals that have an h-index of 10 or greater, including the Nature Communications.
The KSME acknowledged Prof. Kim’s outstanding achievement by presenting the award, with an additional plaque of appreciation for his excellence as the head of the KSME Reliability Engineering Division for 2020.
The KSME was founded in 1945 and has since led the development of mechanical engineering and machinery technology in South Korea. With more than 20,000 members, it is well recognized as the nation’s top-class society in the related field.
