Application for global citizenship teachers’ course opened
Jeju National University’s International Development Cooperation Center (J-IDCC) will run an education course for teachers of global citizenship. The course has been jointly organized with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Jeju International Center affiliated with UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR Cifal Jeju), and will be offered on May 28 and 29 in the university.
The class topics will be focused on teaching global citizenship in the public education system, the class module of “We are global citizens” for elementary, middle, and high school students, and the roles of teachers as learning facilitators.
Applications will be accepted through QR code scan in the order in which they are received.
Students with at least 90% attendance will be issued a course completion certificate by KOICA, J-IDCC, and UNITAR Cifal Jeju. Additionally, they will be offered an opportunity to teach global citizenship in local elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as youth institutions.
More detailed information is available on the website of J-IDCC (https://jjidcc.modoo.at) and Jeju National University (http://www.jejunu.ac.kr/main).
J-IDCC was established in 2015 as Jeju National University’s on-campus agency for official development assistance (ODA) under an agreement concluded between the university, Korea International Cooperation Agency, and Jeju province.
