Environmental camp for children with allergic diseases held online

Jeju National University (JNU) Environmental Health Center is holding an educational camp for children who are interested in allergens, including those with allergic diseases, throughout May.

The center modified the original plan for a face-to-face one-day camp to be held six times online due to the ongoing shutdown of local public facilities with sporadic confirmed cases of COVID-19.

JNU Environmental Health Center was designated as the university’s agency of health programs by the Ministry of Education in June 2008 and is currently directed by Prof. Hong Seong Chul. The center has run the Allergic Disease Camp since last year, where children can learn about basic knowledge through lectures given by medical specialists and experience nature by potting succulent plants.

The on-campus health agency also accepts online applications and inquiries, concerning allergen tests as well as consultations and education opportunities for the prevention of allergic diseases. (http://www.e-safejeju.or.kr)
