JNU concludes mutual cooperation agreement with Jeju United FC

Jeju National University (President Song, Seok-eon) and Jeju United FC (CEO Han, Joong-gil, General Manager Kim, Hyeon-hee) concluded a business agreement for mutual cooperation and co-prosperity on May 26 at JNU.
The two stakeholders of the agreement decided to cooperate on items that are deemed necessary, such as joint enterprising, sports business and relevant fields, and sharing of opinions and R&D data through discussion.
As an implementing means, a ‘working-level meeting’ will also be held for smooth operation and adjustment.
CEO Han said, “I expect this collaborative agreement will allow us to discuss practical and specific matters, giving both entities representing Jeju an opportunity to mutually benefit and prosper.”
Jeju United FC is a professional soccer team which first began as Yukong Elephants on Dec. 17, 1982. The team moved its home to Jeju in 2006 for the expansion of the K League and was renamed as ‘Jeju United.’ As the only professional team of Jeju, the team ranked 2nd place, winning every home game in 2010. Jeju United also entered the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League three times (in 2011, 2017, and 2018).
Jeju United FC aims to enter the upper splits in the 2021 season as well as AFC Champions League.
