Spring semester online exhibition for capstone design presentations to be opened on May 8

Jeju National University’s LINC+ (industry-academy cooperation project team) will disclose the 2021 Spring Semester Capstone Design Presentations online on May 8.

The LINC+ event will feature an online exhibition under the theme of “Youth Designs the World” (http://lincplus.jejunu.ac.kr/contest/index.htm).

The platform will share the results of the spring semester accomplishments of JNU students who created their own capstone designs during the spring semester this year.

Capstone design is a culminating program for undergraduates in several disciplines who use the knowledge and skilled related to their majors to plan, design, and produce solutions to different issues found in enterprises or local communities. A living lab-style capstone design team especially invites regional institutes or local community members to the problem-solving process.

The online exhibition will feature the design works by 143 teams in four categories of clean biotechnology, green energy, smart tourism, and local community.

The students’ performances are especially significant this year in that their efforts have been broadened to outside Jeju National University while working with Korea University Sejong Campus and many local companies of Jeju Island.

The exhibits will continue to be opened even after the presentation period ends, along with the works produced in the 2020 fall semester. A LINC+ official said companies that are interested in commercializing JNU students’ capstone designs will be able to bid in the capstone auction and join other support programs.
