Online intensive education course on official development assistance held

A two-day education course on official development assistance was offered online, Jeju National University International Development and Cooperation Center (JIDCC) announced Monday (June 7).

The course, titled “Issues in the Core Areas of International Development and Assistance”, began on June 4 as the first intensive course of JIDCC’s regular education program and was completed by 28 students.

According to the JIDCC, the course addressed the topics on the international development and cooperation in the areas of primary industries, governance, public health, and education, while introducing applicable measures and case examples in each area.

The center expects the event will be an intensive program with an in-depth approach to helping the participants read the international trends, going beyond the understanding of basic concepts and theories of international development and cooperation.

The education course is open to anyone living in Korea who are interested in international development and assistance. More details about the course is announced on the website of the JIDCC (https://jjidcc.modoo.at/).

JIDCC was established in 2015 as Jeju National University’s on-campus agency for official development assistance under an agreement concluded between the university, Korea International Cooperation Agency, and Jeju province.
