Summer internship available at blue-chip companies in Seoul metropolitan area

Recruiting young people during summer vacation, providing accommodation expenses

The Career Center of Jeju National University announced on June 12 that the internship program would be operated at blue-chip companies in the Seoul metropolitan area, such as DMCM Co., during summer vacation in July and August.

The program is funded by the Office of Youth Policy in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, which aims to foster local talents.

Participating students will have a chance to strengthen their employment competency and prepare their career path at companies in the Seoul metropolitan area by experiencing tasks such as organizing reports and market research, and accounting.

Accordingly, Jeju National University will recruit participants by June 23. Eligible applicants are unemployed young people aged between 19 and 39 who live in Jeju. Salary and accommodation expenses are provided to those who are selected. An application can be submitted via visit or email(hr0203@jejunu.ac.kr).

Kang Tae-young, the director of Career Canter at JNU, encouraged active participation of young Jeju people, saying, “It will help young people in the province explore their careers and set goals by experiencing what happens in the real businesses in out-of-town companies that are difficult for them to experience, and contribute to resolving mismatches between companies and job seekers at the job market.”
