Poster contest on communal coexistence and cooperation to be held
The 2021 Poster Contest on Coexistence and Cooperation in Local Community will be held for graduate and postgraduate students, Jeju National University announced today.
The contest aims to discover exemplary research cases on the social roles of universities in terms of contributing to the industries and local community.
Applicants should create posters based on their research outcomes of collaboration with local businesses or other members of the local community. The posters and the application will be accepted until July 14 via the university’s webmail (seonyoung@jejunu.ac.kr).
On July 20, the posters will be exhibited on the first-floor lobby of the university’s Central Library, so that not only the juries but also the viewers can rate them to select the winners.
The grand prize winner will be awarded in the name of the JNU president, along with an i-Pad. The first prize will be given by the dean of the JNU Graduate School, also with an i-Pad. The second prize will be given in the name of the head of the BK21 Agency, with the prize money worth 300,000 won.
Song Seok-eon, the JNU president, expected the contest will motivate promising researchers to share insights about local collaboration and activate the industry-academy cooperation in the Jeju region.
Further details of the contest are specified on the promotional pamphlets distributed to each department and on the university’s website (http://www.jejunu.ac.kr/ara/notice/16238047684018).
