국어문화원, ‘2021 제주어 콘텐츠 경연 대회’ 개최
2021 Jeju Language Content Competition slated to be held

Jeju National University’s Korean Language and Culture Center will hold the 2021 Jeju Language Content Competition.

According to the linguistic research center, the competition will accept applications from JNU students who are willing to contend for mastery in the categories of videos and songs.

Competition for the category of videos will require a three-minute drama or documentary film in the Jeju language, while the singing competition will apply to the songs written or re-written in the Jeju language.

The juries will select 15 winners, including 1 Grand Prize winner, 2 winners for the Gold Prize, 4 winners of the Silver Prize, 8 winners of the Bronze Prize, with an additional winner of the Jeju National University Presidential. The winners will be awarded the prize money (gift certificates) worth 2.4 million won in total.

Applications will be accepted by July 23 on the website of JNU Korean Language and Culture Center. More information is also available on the university’s website.
