Jeju National University’s Teachers Training Center will run the Honors Residential College (JNU-HRC) program for students with outstanding performances, the university announced on Wednesday (June 23).

According to the university, the JNU-HRC program will first apply to the students who are joining the school in the 2021 fall semester.

Seventeen students, who had been selected as the recipients of the scholarship, participated in the orientation event on Tuesday (June 22).

The JNU-HRC program aims to attract promising students to apply for JNU for the purpose of nurturing creative, future-oriented intellects with a global sense.

The participants of the program will receive funds for their tuition, boarding, and studying expenses. Additionally, they will take specialized extracurricular programs and engage in a certain period of overseas training.

The orientation event introduced the students to JNU-HRC, followed by the briefing about the detailed operation of the program.

Song Seok-eon, president of JNU, welcomed the students and asked them to actively participate in different JNU-HRC courses and build creative talents.
