Incubation of trade experts agreed between GTEP agency and Sumbi Fairs

Jeju National University’s Global Trade Expert Incubating Program (JNU-GTEP) signed an agreement with a local event organizer for trade expert incubation, the university announced on Tuesday (June 29).

JNU-GTEP met with Sumbi Fairs at Jeju National University on Monday to conclude the Memorandum of Understanding on Creating the Driving Forces of SME Exports and Incubating Youth Trade Experts.

Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate for exchanges in broad areas, including academic activities and information sharing on the convention industry; student training through internship and field education; provision of working-level staff with knowledge in trade issues, and more.

Previously, JNU-GTEP had agreed with 41 local export businesses to provide consultation and support on trade issues.

Huh Yoon-seok, head of JNU-GTEP, said the institute will seek opportunities to cooperate with more local potential exporters so that students can build capacity for global trade and businesses can create growth engines.
