Jeju National University and Hanwha Aquaplanet Jeju signed a memorandum of understanding on June 24 for the education of talents and the establishment of a cooperative system.

Under the agreement, the two parties will work together to discover joint projects and carry out promotional events for the purposes of contributing to the local community.

Particularly, the school will run educational courses and provide support for students who are looking for job opportunities, while the aquarium will offer an internship program for potential employees.

The signing ceremony was attended by the key figures of the university and the company, including their leadership, to commemorate the building of the bilateral cooperative system.

Hanwha Aquaplanet Jeju is located in Seopjikoji, an easternmost tip of the Seongsan area. The facility contains Asia’s largest aquarium of 25,600m² or 10,800 tons.

The theme park displays 28,000 sea creatures of more than 500 different species, while offering educational and cultural activity programs for visitors.
