‘UN본부 온라인 인턴십 발대식’ 개최
Online internship program for Headquarters of United Nations launched

Jeju National University’s Field Training Support Center held the launching ceremony of the Online Internship Program for the Headquarters of the United Nations, the school announced on Friday (July 2).

The program has been organized to encourage college students to strengthen their global competitiveness through the internship at the United Nations headquartered in New York.

According to Jeju National University, eight of its students were finally selected to join the program, which is the largest number in one school in Korea.

The participants of the online internship program will attend the UN General Assembly meetings for five weeks, starting from July 5. The students will develop meeting minutes and reports on key global issues, learning about the international situation.

Seo Kyu-bum, director of the Field Training Support Center, expected the internship program will help broaden the horizon of student capabilities. The center will provide full support to the students who work to build global competitiveness, he added.
