Online internship program for Australian companies kick-started

Jeju National University’s Field Training Support Center held the launching ceremony for its overseas internship program on Wednesday (June 28).

The field training program is titled, “2021 Global Challenger Online Australian Internship”, and 10 JNU students have been selected to accumulate business experience in Australian companies and build global capabilities.

The select students will take a business English class and a global job training online for two weeks, starting from July 5. Then, they will participate in a four-week internship online at the Australian headquarters of South Korean firms or Australian local firms.

Seo Kyu-bum, director of the JNU Field Training Support Center, said more internship programs will be offered online to help students continue to nurture their global talents despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
