Agreement signed with Jeonnam Bioindustry Foundation for utilizing natural resources

Jeju National University’s Department of Chemistry & Cosmetics signed an agreement on incubating health, beauty, and bio industries using natural substances with a research institute on the Korean mainland.

Jeollanamdo Institute of Natural Resources Research under the Chonnam Bioindustry Foundation visited Jeju National University on Thursday (July 1) for the signing ceremony.

Under the agreement, the school department and the research institute will cooperate for the development of natural oil substances for cosmetic products and the sharing of information and research tools.

Yoon Kyung-sup, head of the Department of Chemistry & Cosmetics, expected the agreement would allow for a continued networking and exchanges that could facilitate local industrial development and provide field training opportunities for students.
