국어문화원, 이주민 및 도민 대상 ‘수월한 제주어 강좌’ 운영
Jeju language course for residents including migrants scheduled

Jeju National University’s Korean Language and Culture Center will run the Jeju Language Course for Beginners with the support of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.

The course will include 10 classes offered every Monday and Wednesday from Aug. 2 to Sept. 1. The 2.5-hour class will start at 6:30 p.m. at the university’s College of Humanities Ⅱ.

The classes will feature different topics related to the culture and history of Jeju Island.

Bae Younghwan, director of the Korean Language and Culture Center, expected the course to help migrants as well as Jeju locals to learn basic Jeju words and culture more easily.
