공학센터, ‘안드로이드 앱 개발 교육과정’ 운영
Educational course on Android app development held

Jeju National University’s Innovation Center for Engineering Education offered an Android app training course using the Kotlyn programming language from July 5 to 10.

The center organized the training program to be under the mobile app service project for the purpose of growing information technology and software talents.

In 2017, Google selected Kotlin as the official programming language for Android apps. The educational course taught the students how to use the language to develop Android apps.

The course was organized, funded by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, and 15 students completed the course.

Ahn Kijung, director of the JNU Innovation Center for Engineering Education, expected the educational course on mobile app services will help nurture talents in the new and converged IT field.
