The Javis and IOMEAL teams at JNU won the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology Promotion Award at the 2024 Capstone Design Fair, 2024 E²Festa.
The Javis Team (Park Jong-hyun, Ko Geon-hyuk, Hyun Soo-mi, Kang Myung-kyun, Heo Jin-ho, and Moon Soo-young, Advisors: Prof. Ko Dong-woo, Prof. Jwa Jeong-woo) won the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award with their project, "Outdoor Cleanup and Fire Prevention Device: Aljalkalsen.“
Aljalkalsen has been developed to create an environment where air conditioners can be used safely, as the use of air conditioners continues to increase with rising summer temperatures and the risk of fire grows due to global warming.
The IOMEAL team (Lim Yoo-jung, Kim Si-won, and Kim Joo-ho, Advisor: Prof. Chang Kyu-chang) won the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology Promotion Award for their project, "Smart Food Manager IOMEAL.“
Park Jong-hyun (JNU Faculty of Architecture), who won the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, said, "I sincerely thank my team members for their passion and collaboration. I would also like to express my appreciation to the head and the staff of the JNU Engineering Education Innovation Center for their hard work, which made it possible for us to constantly challenge ourselves."
