The Jeju Black Cattle Research Center, Agricultural Corporation Bobsang Salim
Co., Ltd., Wow Ranch, and Mirae Cell Bio Co., Ltd. have signed an MOU to collaborate on selling and promoting Jeju black beef.

The Jeju Black Cattle Research Center (Director: JNU Professor Park Se-pil) signed an MOU with Agricultural Corporation Bobsang Salim Co., Ltd., Wow Ranch, and Mirae Cell Bio Co., Ltd. (CEO: Kim Eun-young) to sell and promote Jeju black beef.

During the Jeju Black Beef Sales Agreement meeting held at the Jeju Black Cattle Research Center, Bobsang Salim Co., Ltd. (CEO: Cho Sang-ho) and Wow Ranch (CEOs: Min Mi-yeon and Lee Chang-jong) discussed strategies to expand black beef sales beyond Jeju Island, starting with four Hansalim Jeju Life Cooperative stores. Additionally, the Jeju Black Cattle Research Center and Mirae Cell Bio Co., Ltd. deliberated on ways to enhance external publicity efforts on November 7.

Director Park Se-pil remarked, "Jeju black beef, historically considered a royal gift, is a high-quality product resulting from the dedicated collaboration of farms and our research center. Establishing a stable sales system through Hansalim Jeju, which champions direct producer-to-consumer connections under the philosophy of life agriculture, is incredibly encouraging.“

He added, "We extend our gratitude to Wow Ranch for its meticulous management practices, including HACCP certification, antibiotic-free livestock production, and clean livestock farm certification. These efforts ensure that Jeju black beef remains a safe and trusted food option for consumers.“

Jeju Black Cattle, designated as a Korean Natural Monument (No. 546), are native to Jeju Island and raised in an exceptional environment featuring pristine waters, sea breezes, and lush grasslands. Jeju black beef is renowned for its health benefits, with lower saturated fat and cholesterol levels compared to regular Korean beef, and higher levels of unsaturated fatty acids, including oleic acid—exceeding even Wagyu. This gives the beef its distinctive, rich flavor and savory taste.

As part of the promotion, a cooking competition featuring Jeju black beef—symbolic of Jeju’s unique livestock heritage—was held at the "Damul" store in Hansalim Jeju on November 23. Furthermore, comprehensive efforts are underway to highlight the excellence of Jeju black beef ahead of its official sales launch.
