Incubation course for cyber security specialists held

 

 

Jeju National University’s Software Leading University Programme Center held an incubating course for future cyber security experts, the university announced on Wednesday (Aug. 18).

 

The event was organized with the National Intelligence Service and the National Security Research Institute, under the Agreement on Fostering Cyber Security Talent in Jeju, which was signed on April 22 this year.

 

The course was offered from Aug. 2 through 17, and the trainees practiced different cyber security strategies using secure coding, cloud, and artificial intelligence-based technologies.

 

During the course, a Jeju-born member of Korea Internet & Security Agency addressed the participants about the career path in the field of cyber security.

 

The course especially invited an award-warning white hacker with a global fame, introducing the trainees to the life of cyber security specialists.

 

Additionally, the event informed the participants of the employment procedures at public and private security agencies.

 

Song Seok-eon, the president of Jeju National University, said the school will spare no effort to provide its students with more quality training programs and help them build capacity.
