Jeju National University’s Center for Human Rights (JNU-CHR) held an online course on improved human rights sensitivity, the university announced on Wednesday (Aug. 25).

The JNU-CHR course, named “The Leadership Camp for Improved Human Rights Sensitivity” was offered on Monday (Aug. 23) for not just the JNU students but also other undergraduates on Jeju Island.

The camp featured a program designed using “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Habits,” a world-popular book authored by Franklin Covey.

The course was followed by another program where the trainees could share different solutions to human rights violation cases on campus. The seven-hour program featured special lectures and two-way communication to encourage active participation.

Kim Eun-ju, director of JNU-CHR, said more programs will continued be offered to nurture human rights-friendly leaders and expand the network of local college students.
