Jeju National University’s LINC+ (a state-led industry-academy cooperation leading project center) held the Coding Educator Training Course and Mixed Reality Learning Course for the 2021 academic year, the university announced on Saturday (Aug. 28).

The Coding Educator Training Course has been held annually since 2018, with the latest one focusing on improving computing-based thinking ability using educational programming devices. Eleven trainees obtained the pedagogical methodologies by studying and practicing the theory for 40 hours.

The Mixed Reality Learning Course inspired the participants to solve problems by finding solutions based both on virtual and augmented reality technologies. The course was completed by 16 students.

Starting from last year, the university’s LINC+ members of Next Generation Clubs for the 4th Industrial Revolution contribute their talent to local community after taking future-oriented courses.

Kang Chul-ung, head of JNU’s LINC+, said the project will continue to incubate new technology specialists so that it can help reduce mismatches in Jeju workers’ skills and jobs and create appealing job opportunities for talented intellectuals.
