Idea contest launched marking 70th anniversary of school opening

Jeju National University, marking its 70th anniversary next year, launched a contest for ideas and catchphrases for the commemorative events, which will continue until Oct. 11 this year.

Anyone from inside and outside the campus are encouraged to join the contest for the ideas, while the contest for the catchphrases will open only for the graduates and current members of Jeju National University.

The contenders will run for two categories, with the first one held under the theme of expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the school’s development and envisioning the school’s hopeful coexistence with the local community. The other category will feature no specific theme, accepting all applications that can represent the significance of the 70th anniversary of Jeju National University.

The application form can be downloaded on the university website (www.jejunu.ac.kr) and should be submitted by email (jnu70th@jejunu.ac.kr).

The winners will receive prize money worth 300,000 won to 1 million won, whose names will be announced on the school website on Oct. 29.
