Prof. Kim Chul-soo recognized for contribution to statistical development

Kim Chul-soo, a professor in the Department of Computer Science & Statistics at Jeju National University, was awarded a Prime Minister’s Commendation on Sept. 1, marking the 27th Statistics Day.

The statistics specialist was recognized for his contribution to the nation’s statistical development by making strenuous efforts to advance the national and regional system for statistical surveys.

To commemorate Statistics Day, the Statistics of Korea selects and honors those who have significantly contributed to and cooperated with the statistical surveys conducted by the government.
