Despite the decline in the average employment rate of general universities, the employment rate of JNU rose 4.7% year-on-year.

According to the 2023 employment statistics for graduates of higher education institutions released by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Education Development Institute on December 27, 2024, 1,083 out of 1,680 graduates from JNU were employed, resulting in a 64.5% employment rate.

Over the past three years, Jeju National University's employment rate has consistently improved, recording 55.1% in 2021, 56.6% in 2022, and 59.8% in 2023. Notably, in 2024, JNU ranked first among the nine flagship national universities, achieving the highest employment rate of 64.5% and the largest increase in the country. Additionally, Jeju Province showed the most significant year-on-year increase in employment rates among Korea's 17 cities and provinces, with an impressive rise of 3.2 percentage points.

Song Yoon-hee, head of the Career Employment Support Team, stated, "It has been incredibly rewarding to plan and implement various career and employment capacity-building programs, ranging from job preparation stages and career exploration to practical job training. These efforts, combined with operating specialized programs for prospective JNU graduates and expanding partnerships to connect local companies with talented individuals, have contributed to our success.”

Since 2022, JNU has participated in the University Job Plus Center project, supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, to provide comprehensive career and employment services not only to JNU students but also to local youth. Furthermore, JNU actively supports Jeju's employment policies by establishing and operating a council of job-related organizations across the province.
