JNU’s 3rd Specialized Software Team Launched

Jeju National University’s Software Convergence Education Institute launched the 3rd Software (SW) Pioneer, a scholarship program for undergraduate students enrolled in the university’s software-related departments.
The SW Pioneer program was established to grant scholarships to those who complete the institute’s spring-term education course by participating in the eight signature events designated by the institute. For the third round of the program, the institute accepted 48 participants as the “SW pioneers”.
During the launching ceremony held on Thursday (Sept. 23), the SW pioneers learned that the third-round scholarships will be provided for two semesters to those SW pioneers who join the three tracks of the. school’s Software Leading University Program
The scholarships for Track 1 will be presented to the participants of the Smart Software Contest, while those for Track 2 will be offered for those who attend the special lectures given by software specialists from Europe or Silicon Valley. Anyone joining both of the events will also receive the scholarships for Track 3.
The SW Pioneer program was greatly favored by the earlier participants, including the 76 SW pioneers in the first semester and the 54 SW pioneers during the summer months.
The latest launching ceremony coincided with the award ceremony for the Big Data Contest where the 2nd round of the SW Pioneer program.
The event also featured a special lecture given by Kwon Soon-geun, an ETAS engineer and specialist in the field of automotive embedded software.
