JTO-led ‘Wellness Tourism Project’ to accept undergraduate participants

Jeju National University LINC+ (an industry-academic cooperation center) and the Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO) will accept undergraduate participants for the Living Lab Capstone Designs (‘Jeju Wellness Tourism Project) until Sept. 30.

The Jeju Wellness Tourism Project is a support programs for students where undergraduates are teamed up to discover new values in Jeju’s tourism assets and come up with solutions to current issues.

In the 2021 spring semester, the university’s LINC+ ran the Living Lab Capstone Design Wellness Tourism Project Team consisting of students with six different majors.

In the outcome presentation session, which was held at the JTO, the Co-well team was awarded the Grand Prize for their “Zero Waste Travel Kit & Wellness Tourist Map”.

The LINC+ will continue its cooperation with the JTO in the 2021 fall semester to develop demand for the wellness tourism industry, running some 10 capstone design teams.

The Jeju National University’s LINC+ also plans to form inter-academic capstone design teams with the Catholic University of Korea and Chungnam National University.

The performances and outcomes of the capstone design teams will be presented in December.
