국립대육성사업단, ‘환경 업사이클링 체험 행사’ 개최
Nat’l Univ. Promotion Center upcycles used hotel sheets

Students of Jeju National University and a local non-governmental organization collaborated for the upcycling of used hotel sheets, the school’s National University Promotion Center announced on Tuesday (Oct. 5).

The students worked with Aewol Friends to produce daily items by upcycling used bed sheets that are regularly discarded by local hotels.

The program introduced the participants to the new trend of discovering new usages of used products while creating valuable items based on new designs and technologies.

The participants also donated some of their products to the local community for environmental conservation.

The event followed the national quarantine guidelines to prevent the COVID-19 spread.

A program official said the center will soon organize a camp which can showcase the results of its environmental events.
