Winners of literature writing contest for local students announced

Grand Prize, First Prizes for Verses and for Proses presented marking Hangul Day

Jeju National University’s Department of Korean Language Education announced the winners of the 56th Literature Writing Contest for Jeju Regional Middle and High School Students on Friday (Oct. 8).

The contest was held to commemorate the 575th anniversary of the proclamation of Hunmin Jeongeum, the nation’s unique alphabet.

The winners in detail are as follows:

△ Prose: Lee Bom (Jeju Girls’ Middle, first year), Hyeon Jeong-hae (Namnyeong High, first year)

△ Verse: Hong Soo-yeon (Tamna Middle, third year), Kwak Chae-eun (Nohyeong Middle, third year), Jeong Ji-yoon (Namnyeong High, first year), Hong Soo-hyeon (Shinseong Girls’ High, first year)
