Conference on post-hybrid cultural conflict scheduled
Tamla Cultural Research Institute to hold joint conference with Chung-Ang University
Jeju National University’s Tamla Cultural Research Institute and Chung-Ang University’s Da Vinci Mirae Institute of General Education will hold a joint seminar on Friday (Nov. 5).
The conference will be held under the theme of “The Current State and Challenges of Liberal Arts Education to Overcome Cultural Conflict in Post-Hybrid Society”.
The two institutes also plan to sign a memorandum of understanding for research exchanges on Nov. 4.
The academic event will also present the performances of a state-funded project, which has been carried since 2019 under the same theme.
During the conference, the participants will diagnose the current state of post-hybrid society, while exploring the direction for liberal arts education to overcome cultural conflict.
The key agenda, post-hybrid society, refers to near-future society where the transnational state formed due to international mobility and the super-connectedness caused due to the fourth industrial revolution coexist.
With a focus on the theme, the conference will address both the recent cultural issues and those that will likely happen in the near future, presenting possible solutions through liberal arts education in colleges.
