Kim Da-young awarded Grand Prize for ‘Field Practice Review Contest’

Jeju National University’s (President Song, Seok-eon) Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation (LINC+) Group (Group Leader, Professor Kang, Cheol-woong) announced on Nov. 10th that Kim, Da-young, a Political Science & Diplomacy student and apprentice in Jeju International Training Center, was awarded with the grand prize in ‘2021 Field Practice Essay/Video Contest.’ Her topic was ‘How much do you know about international affairs?’
Aside from the grand prize, the first places were given to Moon, Sang-won (Tourism Management), and Jang, Yong-soo (Tourism Management). The 2nd places were taken by Ko, Young-wook (Journalism & Public Relations), Kim, Young-eon (Tourism Management), Kim, Chae-hyeon (Political Science & Diplomacy), and Kim, Hee-jin (Food Bioengieering). The 3rd places were given to Kang, Da-ye (Tourism Management), Kang, So-hyeon and Ko, Hyeon-bin (respectively Tourism Development and Tourism Management), Kim, Seung-hyeon (Architectural Engineering), On, Yoo-na (Horticultural Sciences), Lee, So-hyeon (Marine Life Science), and Lee, Ha-eun and Han, Hye-soo (Tourism Management).
The contest was open to students who took part in field practices from the 1st semester to the summer vacation of 2021. The purpose was to substantiate and spread the performance of the industry-academic cooperation by sharing excellent cases on ‘the process and performance of field practice,’ as well as its contribution to ‘the search for career path and connection with job-finding.’
An excellent case of video entry was submitted also for ‘2021 LINC+ Video Contest’ hosted by the Ministry of Education and hosted by National Research Foundation of Korea. Moon, Sang-won (field-practiced in Jeju Bank) was awarded with a first-place prize in the contest, with his topic ‘Field practice? You can do it.’
The JNU LINC+ Group says, “We hope the field practice will help our students be more efficient so that they get accustomed to the world easily. Here at the Group, we have our continuous tasks to foster the region, enterprises, and universities to develop together.”
