Professor Kang’s paper of interest is titled, ‘Overexpression of ICE1, a regulator of cold-induced transcriptome, confers cold tolerance to transgenic Zoysia japonica.’ The study deals with Zoysia japonica (or Korean grass) which is strong against cold.
The prize is awarded to the main author with the most frequently cited papers publicized in the ‘Journal of Plant Biology (JPB)’ published by the Korean Society of Plant Biology. JPB is an SCIE-registered academic journal that specializes in the field of plant biology
Research Professor Kang derived multiple performances in the field of plant bioscience along with Professor Lee, Hyo-yeon of the College of Applied Life Science (Director of Subtropical Horticulture Research Institute). Works include papers and patents.
Especially, in the last two years, Kang presented three papers on a top 10% SCI-ranked journal. In addition, Kang is performing studies regarding the development and practicalizing genetically modified organisms and environmental stress resistance of plants along with other researchers and professors in the lab.
