JNU, Educational Support Project for Agricultural Schools in 2025

NU, the best educational institution by promoting specialized education in the agricultural industry for 20 years since 2005

JNU announced that the JNU Future Professional Agricultural Management Training Project Group (Director: Prof. Dong-soon Kim, hereinafter referred to as the JNU Agricultural Project Group) has been selected for the 2025 Agricultural School Education Support Project, which is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Education and Culture Information Institute. The project group will receive KRW 340 million over the next three years.

The Agricultural School Education Support Project aims to cultivate future agricultural manpower and expand opportunities for students in agricultural schools to enter the agricultural industry. Ten universities were selected through a public offering of agricultural universities nationwide.

JNU has been continuously conducting specialized agricultural industry education for 20 years, with government subsidies from 2005 to the present. In particular, JNU has strengthened its capabilities as a top educational institution, receiving S and A grades from 2017 to 2024.

The JNU Agricultural Project Group aims to cultivate young and smart farmers through a step-by-step, customized education support program to promote entry into the agricultural sector.

This includes programs for majors such as plant resource environment, horticultural environment, and industrial applied economics at the University of Life and Resource Sciences, as well as for non-farm students who wish to participate in the agricultural sector. The program includes the following activities; ▲ Start-up mind-up education ▲ Start-up education ▲ Start-up senior exchange and start-up policy special lecture ▲ Young farmers and smart farmers.

Through the training of agricultural professionals, the JNU Agricultural Project Group will offer courses to train specialists in the agricultural sector, including HACCP, FSSC/ISO 22000, GLOBALG.A.P., GAP, agricultural quality managers, and distribution managers. Additionally, the group will provide training to develop drone operators, a new field introduced in 2025.
