As of March 1, 2025, the JNU Horse Industry Professional Training Center (Director Prof. Jeong Hyo-hoon) will invite Coach Shin Eun-seop, a former member of the Korean national equestrian show jumping team for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

The Jeju National University Horse Industry Professional Training Center, located in Ara-dong, Jeju City, was completed in 2014 to meet the need for an educational and research institution that would lead the development of technology and train professionals in the horse industry in Korea. This followed the enactment of the Act on the Promotion of the Horse Industry at the end of 2011 and the designation of Jeju Island's first horse industry special zone in 2014.

Since its establishment, the center has contributed to the spread of sound horseback riding culture in Jeju and the promotion of health and welfare for residents through the operation of the riding academy curriculum at Jeju National University’s Lifelong Education Center.

Director Jeong said, “The center will collaborate with Shin Eun-seop to contribute to the development of the horse riding industry in Jeju. The horse industry in Jeju can only develop when the horse riding sector is activated, as it is a crucial pillar of the industry.”

The JNU Horse Industry Professional Training Center plans to operate various horseback riding academy programs at the JNU Lifelong Education Center, with two coaches, including Shin Eun-seop and Kim Min-soo, joining the center starting in the spring 2025 semester.

The center also plans to diversify its programs, offering classes at various levels such as introductory, beginner, intermediate, advanced, and qualification preparation courses. It will take the lead in promoting horseback riding culture in Jeju by operating preparatory classes for various competitions in Korea.
