The JNU College of Pharmacy (Dean Lee Sang-ho) and the Jeju Pharmaceutical Research Institute (Director Park Young-jun) held their first joint symposium with the College of Pharmacy and the New Drug Development Institute at Jeonbuk National University on January 13. The symposium aimed to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two universities, extending beyond academic exchanges.

At the event, JNU Professor Kim Ji-won delivered a lecture titled "Pharmacological Research in Cell Responses of the Tumor Microenvironment." JNU Professor Park Chul-hoon presented on "Formulation and Regulation Research of Medical Hemp." Professor Lee Soo-mi from Jeonbuk National University discussed the "Development of Lead Compounds and Synthesis of Candidate Substances," and Professor Kang Ji-hyun shared insights on "Manufacture and Formulation of Fine Particles for Drug Delivery." These presentations garnered significant attention from the participants.

In a special session, Professor Hyun Jin-won of Jeju National University's School of Medicine gave a lecture on "Natural Water-based Fine Dust Response Skin Disease Control Strategy," offering a new direction for natural medicine research.
